If you’ve ever won on a scratchcard, you will know that most prizes can be paid out a local shops and supermarkets.
Most retailers will pay up to £100 in winnings, except some of the smaller stores which are only required to pay out £50. Although most retailers will pay out in cash, it is possible to get your debit card credited with your winnings!
Some retailers, such as large supermarkets, can actually pay out up to £500 in winnings. Again, this can be as cash or via debit card, but they are not required to, and is it at the discretion of the retailer.
If you have a win over £100, and you cannot find a store to pay out, your best bet is to head to a Post Office.
Post Offices can pay out between £500 and £50,000.
However, not all Post Offices can pay out. You need to find one that has a National Lottery terminal in it!
