There’s been plenty of stories of National Lottery scratchcard jackpot winners over recent months, and this story is no different.
The lucky couple in this story are Carlisle couple Ian and Sandra Black, who managed to win £2 million on a National Lottery scratchcard with the scratchcard in question being the £5 scratchcard, the Monopoly Deluxe scratchcard.
The lucky incident occurred when Ian Black finished his night shift and was driving home from work, picking the scratchcard up from the Esso garage on Wigton Road, Carlisle.
And what are they spending the money on?
The money is going to be spent on an operation for their dog, but Sandra has already treated herself to a new Volvo XC90. Although they are not sure what to spend the rest of the money on, they want to ensure they are financially sensible and that it ensures a financially stable future for their children and grandchildren.
